U.S. debt is long viewed as an ultra-safe asset. It is the foundation of Global Commerce. A default could shatter the $24 TRILLION market for Treasury debt, cause financial markets to freeze up and ignite an international crisis.  There goes 401K investments, Pensions, Social Security, and other investments.

Showing that you will not negotiate by not signing this bill is not what you were elected to do. You work for your voters and WE sign your paycheck. We hold both parties responsible for getting this bill passed ASAP.

This bi-partisan bill needs support to avoid an economic crisis and be the unperfect will of the majority of Americans.

    This bill is bi-partisan.

It has spending cuts to the discretionary portion of the budget (approximately 1/3 of the budget) which has been excessively increased!! A lot of these policies are NOT readily achievable!! They are not supported by the majority of the American public!!

It is my understanding that this bill supports a Commission to study the other 2/3 of the budget!! This Commission is long overdue!!

We have to start to paying attention to the many real issues facing our country now!!

Plus we must not default or we won't be able to do anything for our country and the American Taxpayers who are paying for all this!!

Defaulting on debt is a sure way to show a weak economy, untrustworthiness, and poor leadership. While I agree that the country cannot keep raising the debt ceiling, the time has passed to debate whether or not the US is going to decrease spending. It surely should not default on debt to decrease spending. As a citizen who is responsible for my own debt, our capitalist system would hold me accountable for defaulting. So, will the international community hold the US accountable for defaulting on its debt. It is time to bite the bullet and cease pork barreling (entirely and forever), social services spending to bolster votes, and refrain from improving rural communities until spending is under control.

It is also important to understand that the US is not the only country suffering from economic struggles as a result of the pandemic. This is an international issue and should be considered as such, especially since our economy is intrinsically tied to the international economy. So, placing harsh judgement on one administration or another is not the answer. The answer is to come together as a government and resolve the issue for the entire nation, not state by state.

It is time to address and resolve the excessive polarity of our political system and return to common sense, reasonable cooperation, and respect. Good faith negotiations are required to reach a solutions rather than constant delays that continue to plague our democracy and way of life.

I'm sick of everything politically. I'm sick of Trumpers and Trump and equally sick of Democrats, Biden, and the weakening of America by the women ideology. It's time America puts the people first and send a strong message to Washington that WE are in charge, not you.
