"However, the level of carnage in America due to firearms is unparalleled in any other developed country."  This is so true and the ideas mentionted are a damned good start.  An assault weapons ban also must be discussed.  It would also be good to require a test and gun ownership insurance before one can own a gun, much like getting a driver's license and being able to drive a car.  Keep up the great work.
